Red Lantern Chinese Cuisine
About This Spot
Stepping into Red Lantern Chinese Cuisine feels like finding a quiet, familiar nook tucked into the heart of Glendora. It’s a relaxed spot where the day’s pace slows just enough to invite conversation and comfort, and the warmth of friendly service immediately softens the edges of any busy afternoon. The modest, clean setting offers a no-fuss backdrop, more about the genuine experience than flashy frills, allowing the food and the people sharing it to take center stage.
This is the kind of place where the comforting aroma of stir-fried garlic and sizzling spices fills the air, welcoming you in and promising a satisfying meal full of familiar, balanced flavors. Whether sharing a pot of hot green tea or passing around plates meant for casual family-style enjoyment, there’s a deep sense of coming together here. The dishes themselves speak a quiet language—warming, generous portions that invite you to taste memories and moments rather than merely ingredients.
Whether it’s a spontaneous lunch or a casual night out, the menu captures a thoughtful variety of Cantonese-rooted specialties that carry a comforting familiarity without feeling overly predictable. From the spirited kick of kung pao preparations to the gentle sweetness of honey-glazed shrimp, everything is designed for a relaxed and steady enjoyment. This is a place where flavors unfold gradually, encouraging that almost meditative appreciation of food shared in good company.
What lingers most is the attentive kindness of the staff and the easy rhythm of the dining room—a true neighborhood haven where locals return time and time again, not just for the food but for the space that invites them to linger a little longer, savoring both simple dishes and the human moments they create.

Red Lantern is a gem in Glendora! Solid Cantonese/Chinese food here. We celebrated a birthday here and loved their: • fish fillet in black bean sauce • sautéed string beans • tofu veggies • salt & pepper pork chop Was not a huge fan of the orange chicken so won’t get it again next time, but otherwise the food here is solid. The service is also great and everyone is friendly here. It’s a nice neighborhood spot for Chinese food for sure.

I went there with my family and enjoyed the dishes that we ordered. Kung Pau chicken shrimp broccoli vegetables chow mein sour and spicy soup. Good service and fair prices.

We didn’t take any photos of our food but instead just planned to enjoy it. Everything here is fantastic. The food is so flavorful and delicious that we ended up coming two days in a row. We now have the location starred in our Google Maps. Highly recommended.

Red Lantern in Glendora is a bit of a hidden spot—I stopped by recently and had mixed feelings. The food itself was delicious, and they offer a pretty solid lunch special that makes it an affordable option if you’re in the area. Portions are generous, and the flavors hit the spot, so no complaints there. That said, the restaurant itself has a strong smell when you walk in, and it was completely empty when I visited. It definitely seems like this place runs mostly as a takeout spot rather than dine-in, which makes sense. The parking lot is also a little sketchy and not the easiest to navigate, so just something to keep in mind if you’re planning to stop by. Overall, the food is worth it, especially for takeout or if you’re craving something tasty on a lunch break, but I probably wouldn’t choose it as a sit-down dining experience.

Ok I was very pleasantly surprised at the amazing value of my lunch at the Red Lantern. Got the generous portion of orange chicken. So tasty! It comes with soup rice and an egg roll. Even includes a pot of hot green tea! All for $12.99. Super delicious. Nice clean atmosphere. This is my new go to for Chinese lunch. So satisfied! Wow.

The veg chow mein tasted better than most other chinese places. It didnt have a huge pool of oil at the bottom and it was just enough salty + savory. Fried rice also didn't have a ladle of oil under the rice and tasted kinda al dente. The fried rice didn't feel super clumpy or super heavy with over oiling/egging when I tried it which was a nice. It tasted like light, airy and clumpy. You can actually eat it with other things like beef without feeling like an oil massage.
